Jasmine Sambac (Jasminum Sambac)

Jasmine Sambac, called “King of Flowers” (Rose is queen) acts as an aphrodisiac and is known to possess powerful anti-depressant qualities with a relaxing yet stimulating and “warm” nature. As an ingredient in skin care it is recommended for hot, dry and sensitive conditions, but its unmistakable luxurious perfume is by far its most valuable and enduring contribution. The oil is a warm and soft white floral with oriental sweetness and heady incense qualities not for everyone. To some its sweetness is overpowering, to others the “indoles” evoke an unpleasant barnyard experience.
